Now that I have returned to work, my weekends will go back to the thing that keeps me balanced, sane, and able to survive. This is what I enjoy on the weekends now:
Saturday mornings with my sweet boys.
We won't see these pretty blues much in the morning sunlight during the week, but I can soak them up on Saturday and Sunday!
These two will eventually interact on their Saturdays together as brothers. They will fight over the remote, over toys, over what they want mommy to cook for breakfast...
But for now, they just peacefully (sometimes) coexist. Cooper really has taken to his role as a big brother. He asks to hold Colson, and offers him a paci when he cries. He loves when Colson locks his eyes on him and watches him.
Colson is fascinated by his brother too. He just sits and watches him with curiosity.
Cooper is still curious about his little brother too, and sometimes I catch him poking and prodding. Thankfully he is gentle. So far, anyway.
I am so very thankful that they seem to really like each other. I am especially proud of how protective and accepting Cooper is of his brother. He has not seemed jealous at all of the attention Colson gets. At night, when I read Cooper his books, he wants me to hold Colson so we can read to him too. I love that.
I love my boys. I am so enjoying watching the two of them together. My Saturday mornings are going to be the highlight of my week. Pajamas and pancakes will be something we will cherish together!
